Most of us are familiar with diagnostic radiology – using X-rays, ultrasound, CT, and MRI scans to diagnose diseases and conditions. Interventional radiology goes beyond simply identifying the problem, it involves treatment. Our award-winning interventional radiologists deliver precise and targeted treatment to complex and serious diseases and conditions. MTV IR’s minimally invasive procedures result in reduced risk, less pain, shorter recovery times, and often better outcomes for our patients.
Through our cumulative years of experience, we have established ourselves as the best interventional radiology doctors in North Texas. We have received excellent feedback and recommendations from both our patients and their referring physicians alike. Our success is based on a never-ending commitment to provide the highest level of care.

Dr. Van Meter was amazing. His attitude, attention to his patient and his care pre/post procedure was excellent. His staff was wonderful. Everything was done quickly and on time.
Dr. Van Meter has seen my husband for liver cancer and performed several procedures including chemo and radiation procedures on him. He is a warm, heartfelt provider. I have worked in healthcare for years and never experienced a provider who would text or call you to check on us after a procedure and is always readily accessible when I have a question for him. Regardless of day or time he has always been available and is straightforward and makes you feel you matter. Can’t say enough. Remarkable!
Where to begin. I am a nurse and I’ve worked with numerous physicians and I appreciate Dr. Van Meter’s patient interaction, expertise, and his spirit. Most doctors don’t understand the importance of patient interaction. This is what helps a patient understand and comply with new treatment. Dr. Van Meter goes above and beyond, he does not rush the patient, and he takes time to listen and answer your question. My Mother was referred to him and what started off as horrible news ended in a smile.
Interventional oncology includes specialized procedures that MTV IR physicians provide within the broader field of interventional radiology. MTV IR offers a range of procedures to address the individual needs of the oncology patient. This can mean using interventional radiology to perform biopsies or drain fluids, but can also include more high-end procedures used to control tumors and prevent progression of the disease.
Vascular conditions that once required surgery with large surgical incisions and prolonged recovery periods can now be accomplished using minimally invasive procedures done on an outpatient basis. The Results are minimal discomfort and a quicker return to your daily activities. If you have been diagnosed with paripheral artery disease (PAD) or deep venous thrombosis (DVT), we can help.
One of the areas of Interventional Radiology we're most excited to be involved with is the area of women's health. The visualization-guided, minimally invasive IR procedures we specialize in are particularly effective in dealing with common health problems that affect women. From uterine fibroids to fallopian tube blockage to pelvic congestion syndrome, we have the solution.
Conditions that involve the male reproductive system are quite sensitive to say the least. As a whole, most men would rather pursue a treatment option that avoids surgery if at all possible. MTV IR uses the latest in minimally invasive interventional radiology procedures to treat benign enlarged prostate glands and varicoceles in the testicles or groin area. It's safe, effective, and relatively painless.
